A 5-day classic school trip to get a taste of both traditional and modern Japan, especially for those who are on their first visit to Japan.

This adventure begins in Tokyo with a trip briefing and a panoramic view from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Explore Sensoji Temple, Tokyo National Museum, and the Imperial Palace with hands-on activities. Experience modern art at Mori Art Museum. Take a day trip to Mt. Fuji, visit Oshinohakkai Village, sketch at Lake Kawaguchi with a cable car view of Mt. Fuji.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Tokyo. Once checked-in, meet for a trip briefing from a local guide and get the first – and best – view of the Tokyo skyline with a trip up to the top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Day 2

Rent a Kimono and explore the district of Asakusa in it. Discover charming streets lined with traditional craft shops and street-food stalls, and visit Sensoji Temple – one of the city’s most popular Buddhist temples.

Visit Tokyo National Museum in the afternoon and wander around Ueno area, interact with street artists.

Day 3

Visit the Imperial Palace and learn about Japanese Royal Family. Enjoy a sushi-making class and seafood for lunch.

Discover Japanese modern art through the visit to Mori art museum in Roppongi area in the afternoon. Step into interactive installations that combine technology and art.

Day 4

Day trip to Mt. Fuji: Visit Oshinohakkai Village, to see Japanese ancient village and Koi-pond which filled with Mt.Fuji snow water. For the Japanese, Mt. Fuji has long been a site of spiritual importance and a source of artistic inspiration.

Day 5

Visit a nursing home in Tokyo and study about the aging population and lack of labor in Japan.

Head back home in the afternoon.
