Beyond Classrooms was founded when an international team focused on experiential education came together with the mission to transform educational travel. We believe that there is an inherent difference at the design level between leisure travel and school travel.
All of our programs are curated around learning principles such as Kohl’s theory of experiential education, problem based learning, and game based learning theories.

Safety.
Our top priority is safety. Beyond Classrooms takes safety very seriously and executes our safety protocols on two levels: prevention & emergency procedures. Audits, risk assessments, safeguarding and medical training is taken care of prior to your arrival to provide you with the highest guarantee of safety during your school trip abroad.
Educational Theory.
Our teaching team has already looked through any of the programs that we present to you to ensure that we fulfill the learning outcomes that you are targeting. After consulting with you, our in-house teaching teams create lesson plans together with local experts and our logistical managers to put together thorough itineraries that don’t miss anything.

We actually believe that chaotic, disorganized, boring, or stressful school trips discourage lifelong learning. Our teaching teams spend considerable amounts of time thinking about how to make your school trip abroad as fun as possible without compromising educational value. Using GBL, we turn lectures into quiz bowls and museum visits into scavenger hunts. We turn hard hikes into exploration and bus rides into creative spaces.

Last but not least, sustainability is factored into everything we do. Beyond Classrooms is a proud member of organizations such as Leave No Trace, the International Ecotourism Society, the International Award and many more like-minded organizations.
