South of Vietnam: Agriculture & Manufacturing

This excursion takes students on a journey through the lush rice fields of the Mekong Delta region, where they can witness the various stages of rice cultivation, from planting and harvesting to processing. Students will have the opportunity to engage with local farmers, learn about traditional farming methods, and even try their hands at planting or harvesting rice. They will also visit a rice manufacturing factory to see how rice is processed and transformed into different products. This school trip offers a unique and educational insight into Vietnam's agricultural and manufacturing heritage.

In addition to the Mekong Delta Rice Fields and Rice Manufacturing Factory, the school trip also includes a visit to a Coffee Manufacturing Factory. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the process of coffee production from bean to cup. The visit will provide valuable insights into the world of coffee manufacturing, the importance of coffee in Vietnam's economy, and the cultural significance of coffee in Vietnamese society.

It is an enriching school trip experience to further expand students' knowledge of agricultural practices and industrial processes in Vietnam.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and meet with your program leaders. They will come to meet you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy the welcome dinner and have some free time.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 2: HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA RICE FIELDS - RICE MANUFACTURE FACTORY

Depart from Saigon for the 1.5-hour drive to Ben Tre, situated in the Mekong River Delta, and see how the city sceneries are changing into lush rice paddies and fruit farms.

Upon arrival at the pier, embark on a fascinating motorboat excursion to start with a quick visit to the Cai Be floating market. Then, take a rowing boat, which will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time.

Back to our boat to go across one of the longest Mekong rivers, fish farms, and scenes of countryside. Arrive at An Bình Island, where we will stop for lunch at the local homestay.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Mekong Delta Rice Fields and Rice Manufacturing Factory, where you will meet the person who is in charge of the production process. You will learn how the rice is grown and produced, as well as about the import and export of factories in the Mekong Delta. Drive back to Saigon to enjoy the free evening.

Day 3: HO CHI MINH – BAO LOC – VISITING COFFE PLANTATION

After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Saigon for the 4.5-hour drive to Bao Loc district, Lam Dong province, which is located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

Bao Loc is famous for tea and coffee plantations and is considered to be the capital of Vietnamese coffee. As you drive through the area, you’ll see the endless rows of tea and coffee plantations. You can stop by the side of the road to see the farmers harvesting the tea leaves or just admire the amazing views of nature.

It’s a charming place to visit. From the beautiful tea and coffee plantations grown on the hillside to the stunning waterfalls.

In the afternoon, we will visit coffee plantations in the local village. It’s a great time to explore and find out the coffee production process. Then we will drive you to the hotel for check-in and have dinner.

Day 4: BAO LOC COFFEE MANUFACTURE FACTORY – BACK TO HO CHI MINH

After breakfast at the hotel, you have free time to enjoy and experience special Vietnamese coffee then drive to visit the Coffee manufacturing factory in Bao Loc, where you will see the production process of this beverage.

Then drive back to Saigon and enjoy a free evening.

Day 5: HO CHI MINH – VISITING ELECTRONIC COMPANY

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to Binh Duong, a big industrial hub of Vietnam.

Here we will visit the electronic company to see the production and explore Vietnam's development in recent years. After visiting the factory and meeting with the person in charge, we will drive back to Ho Chi Minh to have dinner.

Day 6: HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE

Relish a healthy breakfast on the final day of your trip. Complete the hotel check-out formalities after which you can visit the local markets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones.

Later, proceed for departure and board your flight back home.
